On May 1, 2005 Empire Maintenance Industries Inc. of Montreal, Quebec expanded its customer base by acquiring Atlantic Building Cleaning, Federated Building Cleaning and Novacos Building Cleaning, all based in Halifax , Nova Scotia and combined, represent the largest janitorial service operating in Atlantic Canada. This acquisition broadens our base and makes Empire the largest janitorial company in Eastern Canada, with over 3000 employees cleaning some 80 million square feet of space daily. Operating for Ontario to Newfoundland, Empire will now be better positioned to service our customers in Atlantic Canada by maintaining an office in Halifax in addition to our head office in Montreal |
